A recent series of news stories suggests that polar ice caps are melting “faster than expected,” and that this phenomenon may result in the extinction of one of humanity’s favorite animals, the polar bear. Apparently polar bears need to be able to migrate onto the ice to fish for food, and this shift in climate is already beginning to interrupt their ability to feed themselves.
Most rational scientists believe this shift in arctic climate is due to global warming resulting from the greenhouse effect, which is produced largely by automotive emissions. While some scientists are speculating that it may be too late to reverse the trend of global warming, at least in the short run, others believe that we need to do something drastic - now - to avoid environmental disaster.

Carbon bandits rob your family of its wealth and health.
As a society who depends on various forms of transportation for our jobs and households, we have unwittingly become innocent victims of Carbon Bandits. Although we do not realize it, but lurking in the fuel we use, whether it be gas, diesel, or bio-diesel fuel – Carbon Bandits wait menacingly to ambush and rob us.
Buying a new car is spending a considerable amount of money for most people, and with the ever rising oil price it is becoming a more and more expensive affair to own your own car too. With an oil price that works in a way so that a rain in north America raises the price people in Finland pays for gasoline from Russia, it is not strange that the market is eager to be offered more economical cars.
As if that were not enough, we are today well aware that the large scale use of fossil fuel like oil is very bad for the environment. Burning up things that have taken hundreds fo thousands of years to accumulate within a couple of hundred years is obviously not a very good idea.
With the high price of oil, the unstable foreign oil countries, and with a renewed focus on the environment there has been much attention of late on finding an alternative fuel source. Biodiesel is nothing new, in fact it has been talked about and experimented on for close to a century, but has been the recipient of a lot of interest of late.
An alternative fuel source has been talked about for decades. The reasons different people have for looking for this alternative fuel source vary widely. It could be for environmental reasons, economic reasons, or even just the excitement of new technology. One thing is certain though, in the past when someone showed interest in biofuel technology it was usually a small group of environmentalists, a lone scientist, or a very small energy related startup company. It is essential that you have an environmental in place to insure you are not fined or cited for inconsistent environmental polices.
