In 1920, Jujiro Matsuda founded Mazda as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. It has been said that the mission of this vehicle manufacturer is to design and craft vehicles that are unique and different from the rest. If one would notice, the company has certainly put that in mind and has achieved such. Around the world and throughout the years, their cars has reached popularity status and rewarding recognition.
From manufacturing machine tools, Mazda, then known as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. shifted to producing automobiles instead. The first vehicle that the company introduced to the automobile world is the Mazda-Go. This made its debut in 1931 and was a vehicle with three wheels. The recognition for Mazda as an automaker and crafter however came later in 1960. This came with the production of the company’s first vehicle with four wheels which was the Mazda R380 coupe. Come the 1980s, the Ford Motor Company noticed Mazda. Later on, the former included Mazda as their business partner and technological partner.

Gentlemen start your engines, the muscle car wars are on again, the last time this happened was all the way back in the 1960’s, and it created an whole new way of thinking about cars in this country, for quite a while the motor companies had lost their way, but now I do believe that they have seen the light once again.
I commend the motor companies for finally listening to the people that are buying their cars and trucks, the motor heads have spoken, the motor companies have decided that they had to listen, not to all the disbelievers and nay Sayers, they have decided to listen to the real American men, who were with out a doubt upset when they began dropping the muscle cars from their lines.

While parent company Honda continues to bestow all of its hybrid technology on its Honda division vehicles, Acura is doing without any alternate engine sources to power their cars and SUVs. Instead, the division is relying on newer gasoline engines to promote fuel efficiency as well as to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Is Acura doing enough or is Honda’s luxury division missing the boat? Big changes are headed Acura’s way, changes that could enormously overhaul the brand and bring to the market vehicles powered by a variety of alternate fuel sources. Let’s examine exactly what might be Acura’s alternate powerplant offerings at the beginning of the next decade.
Diesel, Biodiesel – Honda got into the diesel market late, but the company’s first offerings are considered to be exceptionally good. Four cylinder powered diesel engines are being developed that will initially appear in select Honda model cars within the next two years. These new engines meet current EPA guidelines and raise the typical fuel mileage of each car by about 30%. Importantly, each engine will be able to run on biodiesel a renewable resource made of ingredients such as soybeans. Acura may get its own diesel aspirated engine soon after the launch of the first diesel powered Honda hits the market.

Who you should co-Brand with and why
We have noticed a trend which is getting more popular amongst the larger city, Auto Dealership fleet departments. We are seeing a more inclusive bundling of services. We believe this is due to the need to retain their customers in a tight and highly competitive market. We see that much of this is also due to the huge competition in Fleet Leasing by Ryder and Penske (Rollins, UPS). As well as the smaller regional and strong fleet leasing companies across the nation and well into most all parts of Canada. Fleet Leasing typically has offered things such as Centralized billing, discount buying, truck washing, routine maintenance, extended warranty services, spare vehicles for down time, assigned manager (one call theory), commercial financing, same day in and out services.

If you are looking to purchase a new vehicle, you may be trying to figure out what to do with your current automobile. Many people trade in their old cars to reduce the price of a newer car. While this is a good strategy, another thing you can do is donate your car to a charity. Believe it or not, there are a number of advantages this has over trading in a car towards the purchase of a new vehicle. When you buy a new car from a dealer, you will find that most of them will try to talk you into trading in your old car. Once you do this, they will often turn around and sell your older car, especially if its in good condition.
However, this is not what usually happens. In most instances, the dealer will try to buy the car from you at a lower price than they expect to get when selling it at an auction. When you donate your car to a charity, not only will you be turning it in for a good cause, you may also get a deal which is better than what you would find from a dealership. Many people don’t realize that donating their car to a charity can allow them to get a tax deduction during tax season. Not only can you use it as a tax write off, you will often earn money that is significantly more than what you would get from most car dealers.

A few years back, a friend of mine brought over his newly purchased and “gently used” 325i to my home. I was nearly as excited for him as he was for himself as this was the car that he had always wanted. A recent promotion and raise at work meant he could ditch his LeSabre for something a bit more classier and a bit more expensive. As he rolled into my driveway I gave the car a good “once over” before my eyes rested on his front left wheel. While the rest of his car looked showroom new, his front wheels were absolutely filthy. So, what was the culprit that messed up my friend’s wheels? Please read on to find out all the sordid details!
Brake dust. Yes, something as simple as dust from the 325i’s brakes messed up my friend John’s wheels. I handed him a sponge and a towel with some lukewarm water and he immediately began to touch up the alloy wheels and tires. Unfortunately, this was only a temporary fix as a few days later his wheels were messed up again. By that time, however, he had already ordered a set of brake dust shields to take care of the problem. Honestly, I never knew such a product existed until he told me about it.

U-Haul is best known for its rental trucks used to help people move, but they also sell trailer hitches and trailer hitch accessories. U-Haul makes trailer hitches that accommodate all kinds of vehicles, including many cars. Different models of U-Haul trailer hitches can haul up to 24,000 pounds. U-Haul makes and sells all needed trailer hitch parts, including hitch balls, ball mounts, receivers, and brake controllers.
U-Haul makes some small trailer hitches that can be secured onto cars. These hitches usually can’t be used to haul as much cargo as heavy-duty trailer hitches found on trucks, but they are still useful. Most car U-Haul trailer hitches can handle loads up to 2000 pounds. These hitches can be bolted onto the car’ frame, usually using preexisting holes. This is a better option than welding the hitch to the frame, which can cause electrical problems and can make the frame much weaker.

Back in the days when muscle cars where still around, playing with carburettor settings and distributor advance curves could give huge horsepower gains. Nowadays, the ignition, fuel injection, and hundreds of other functions that used to be adjusted with a screwdriver are all controlled by small computer ECU (Electronic Control Unit) chips. Obviously, nothing can be achieved through tweaking settings with a screwdriver on modern vehicles.
The job that the screwdriver used to do is now replaced by a performance chip. Diesel performance chips and vehicle performance chips take advantage of all the tricks of the old-time tuners; their mission is to remap the engines system in order give you additional horsepower and torque. High-quality diesel performance chips will optimize the fuel and air ratio and spark map inside the engine for additional power. After the installation of the diesel performance chip, the fuel consumption is still low and the emissions are clear but the engine operates at its full potential.

Focus Coupe-Cabriolet, the European Focus, Focus C-Max, Volvo S40, V50, C30, C70, Mazda3, Mazda5, and CX-7 have several things in common. First glance might be deceiving however; if one delves deeper, a significant realization can be had. The mentioned vehicles employ elements of the C1 platform. To some auto analysts, if Ford starts to share the architecture with other brands, the company will be able to cut about 30 percent of the total production cost.
According to Derrick Kuzak, the brains behind C1 platform for the European Ford Focus, this is what Ford needs for future products as well: A shared versatile architecture with a high amount of variation. Kuzak added, “If you look at C1, it’s almost a microcosm of what we’re trying to do in the enterprise as a whole. Having a very strong and capable platform — and on top of that you put very unique products that are unique not just in how they look but are very consistent with the individual brand DNA.”

Each year experts in the automobile industry come up with their lists of the top ten vehicles of the year. Some experts put the vehicles through a series of tests, while others create their lists purely on market and consumer response. Vehicle choice is certainly a personal one, but experts like Cars.com, Consumer Reports magazine, Automobile magazine, and Car and Driver magazine, are certainly worth listening to. What did they have to say this year?
Well, the Cars.com list of most popular vehicles in 2005 was topped by the Honda Civic. Cars.com analyzes the vehicular market to come up with the most popular new car models based on consumer interest (i.e. on the number of email requests for price quotes sent to dealers) and not car tests. Here’s their top ten list for 2005:

Have you thought of adding Headlight Repair to your auto detailing business? A new set of sealed beam headlights on a New Jeep Cherokee could run as high as $70, however your team can make money lightly sanding and coating these headlights with the Micro-Glass product in the Micro-Mesh Kit by Micro Surface Corporation. It is important for the detailing companies to constantly review such products, this innovation has propelled our team to come up with the solutions for our fleet customers and help us bundle services to compete against the other large vendors to these fleet companies. One company we compete with out of New Jersey does offer this service, but we do and we are able to use this to our advantage on bidding on fleet detailing work.
This is just one more way you can bundle services to provide a value added service to your customers. We have talked to managers of fleet wash companies and fleet detailing companies in their various markets. Some of these managers have told us they have been looking into doing headlight restoration, because their customers are now asking for the service. Many of the high-end to Auto detailing shops do offer headlight restoration using various methods. Recently with the floods that we’ve had in the United States, we have seen Auto auctions start to offer this service also. Generally the Auto auctions that we’ve seen do not know how to deal with sealed beams, instead they’re much better with none sealed beams, and by removing the lens and wiping down the inside and using glass wax they are able to make the lenses look transparent and therefore the car looks sellable as runs through the auto auctions.

There are many excellent reasons to put your learning hat back on and seek out a local instructor for advanced driving lessons. After passing our tests many of us still feel as though there is something missing and actually plucking up the courage to get behind the wheel and pull out onto a major road can be a terrifying ordeal. It can also be quite frightening to venture out in pouring rain or blustering winds for new, young drivers.
It is a great idea to work yourself into driving gradually. Perhaps you could get a friend or family member that has a few years of driving under their belt to sit with you for the first couple of road excursions. Make sure that you don’t plan any long, gruelling cross country trips straight away. Also, stick to minor roads and just get used to being among other traffic and master being in full control of your vehicle.
